There are three main types of Devil Fruits:

• Gear Fourth:

• Snake man: 

Snake Man is the second form of Gear Fourth, a technique used by Monkey D. Luffy. The name "Snake Man" comes from Luffy's ability to bend his arms in any angle in mid-air while he punches, similar to a snake.

Based on the current pacing of the One Piece anime, it is estimated that Luffy's Gear 5 will be animated in the episodes between 1065 and 1070. This would mean that it will be animated sometime in July or August of 2023.

The manga chapter that introduced Gear 5 was released on March 27, 2022, so it has been about 15 months since the manga readers first saw this transformation. 

The anime usually takes about 3 months to adapt one manga chapter, so it is expected that it will take about the same amount of time to adapt the chapters that feature Gear 5.

Of course, this is just an estimate, and the actual release date of Gear 5 in the anime could be sooner or later. However, it is likely that we will see this transformation animated sometime in the next few months.

Date of the Gear 5 episode in One Piece Confirmed

According to Toei Animation, the studio behind the anime, the series will show Gear 5 next Sunday, August 6, 2023. It will be during episode 1071, although it is very likely that the ending of episode 1070 will turn everything upside down (just look at its title: Luffy’s Defeat!!!? The Determination of Others).
